Essential Functions

• Develop mobile and web applications using Java web technologies and open source frameworks
• Ability to prioritize work and help the team assess impacts to timelines
• Analysis and identification of technical areas of improvement in existing applications

Required Skills

• Must be a Computer Science graduate
• 2+ years of experience in Java Web/Wap application Development
• Analysis, design, coding and unit testing of scalable, distributed applications using Object Oriented methodologies
• Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus especially in the areas of writing high-performance, reliable and maintainable code
• Experience with frameworks including Spring, Struts, and Hibernate
• Knowledge about mobile device recognition and their capabilities on Wap

Technical SkillsJDBC, IO and data structures
Java Servlets, Java Server Pages, Struts, and Java Server Faces
XML parsing and processing, XSLT, Web Services and SOAP
Relational databases, knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL would be a plus
Build tools like Ant, Maven would be preferable
Installation and configurations of Web Containers for deploying Java web applications on Linux and Windows servers
ORACLE/JAVA or related certifications would be a plus
