Job Requirements
You will be in a lead role as part of Mentor ’s OS and Middlewareteam. In this position you will conceptualize, define and implement industry leading wireless solutions for our Multi-OS offerings in the embedded market.
1. Identify, architect and implement strategic wireless technologies and solutions (includes selecting and working with partners where appropriate)
2. Perform technical leadership duties, including mentoring others and facilitate presentations with internal/external customers
3. Lead effective technical brainstorming sessions
4. Deliver technical documentation
5. Participate in the software technical review and release process
6. Provide accurate estimates for project deliverables
7. Work closely with other team members in both local and remote office locations.
Required Skills
• Exceptional conceptual design skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Expert programming skills in C, C++ and other languages
• Excellent networking skills e.g. TCP/IP, WLAN (802.11 protocols), ZigBee, Bluetooth, etc
• Wireless security protocols
• Advanced embedded software architecture and design skills
Job Qualifications
• 10+ years experience in software development (embedded preferred)
• 5+ years experience in a wireless lead/architect role, where you have demonstrated not only your technical skills, but also your leadership and mentoring ability
• 3+ years experience developing software for devices / embedded systems
• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
